very fine job indeed! ONLY suggestions: a few of the warped buttons are repeated and in the HiRes it shows. If you can change them even a little, that would be good. i think this may not have been a lot of complex work, but i will say that i think that the image you ended up with is far better than a mere "filter-only" designation would indicate. The greys aound the periphery are a little... underwhelming, maybe some additional colour would help that and the simplicity matter too. (249 days ago)

Strange encounter
wow. photochoppers resort to zombie themes at a drop of a watermelon seed, don't they? This one is especially gory, gross and therefor wonderful. Nice job!! The flesh being eaten is flawless. The eyes have i guess stylistic strangeness - that for me doesn't match the realism/gore of the fleshmelon. I think the greyed blacks of the source face and the much darker black of the eyes - are striking and might be on purpose, but i think that is where the mis-match lies that i may or may not be seeing. i agree, maybe you can finish it in time, or comment back with a link to it on tinypic.com or the like. What you FINISHED is damned good! The parts have a little too much "identicallity"... need to smudge them differently with dirt or paint or something... helps hide the chop. pick a light source location... i'd start with the sun from the photo of the couple, and make shadows for the hands, the frames, the horse, the vase and the table. The parts that go beyond the frame - should throw shadow on the frame. Like the idea very much - and the masking is well done! (284 days ago)

i like this a great deal. I think that between step 8 and step 9 you lost the shadow from the 'coming-at-you' branch over the thumb - so you have a visual glitch in the bark at the wrist-thumb area. Otherwise i fancy this rotten! (c= (285 days ago)
