WOOOOOW! Your version is a magnificent version! Love this flower; I've got in a pot,as a painting on the wall, a photo in a frame...the only thing that was missing was the one in the smoke! I had to open high res to see what filter crazy is talking about (didn't really notice it here) and, I agree, it would look a lot better without it! It's a nice image as it is. I used that same filter once and removed it after a few members had suggested it would look better without it- the work ended up being TOP3 so...think about it! I'll hold off my vote for now!

It is a good idea but, like arielnine says, you need to put a hand that belongs to a child there. The nails on the hand you put obviously belong to a woman (manicure!!!). Now, as for the masking, you need to select the boy's face more precisly meaning to remove all the extra parts (background in the first place). The best way to do that is to use Selective color tool and to remove the background (it shouldn't be too hard with this picture), then you'll have a clean face with no traces of the background from your source image. I think you've found yourself a great place to learn PS here! (1 year and 60 days ago)

There's still a piece of his hand left! I think it would bee cool to add a low opacity glass-layer over it and add some light reflections, that way it would look a lot moore like like the reflection of the statue in the windows. OK, I hope I'm not being too annoying today asking something above almost every entry but, just out of curiosity- why green filter and why did you decide to put the church so close? Some of those buildings now seem unreal, it's almost obvious something is missing even without looking at the original picture, I think it would look a lot more realistic if it were placed exactly where used to be Colosseo!
