avatar Alan2641 Nice idea -- perhaps a more tattered look to the tears (less straight lines) and a bit of an inner shadow or a stoked line to give the paper some depth. There are some other blending modes that also might help to give the impression of depth to the paper

avatar Alan2641 idea is good --shadows are not correct they should lie down along the ground in the opposite direction to the light. you can move the drop shadow into its own layer and then use distort, skew etc from the transformation menu to improve the shadow or make a copy of the layer desaturate it and then use the transformation menu to get it to lie down on the snow. Poor Shadows will always hurt an image but good ones are not really noticed. Keep working.
