step 19
Ok, copy the T-shirt and rename the layer, er, 'T-shirt'. IMPORTANT: Now drag this layer down to the 'New layer' icon. It's the one next to the trash can, or 'dustbin' as the English are fond of calling it. Now we have another t-shirt layer. Crtl+click this t-shirt copy layer to bring back the selection. Now we are going to make it dirty. First, make sure our Foreground and Background colors are black and white by pressing 'D' on the keyboard. Then click Filters->Render->Clouds. Change the blending mode to 'Multiply' and you should have something like this:

step 20
Right, it's time to put what you have just learnt into practice. You are going to do the hand (and piece of arm yourself. Don't forget to take time creating the mask and rename those layers? Ok, how did you do? Anything like this?

step 21
I added another layer on top of the hand and painted a thin black line around the nails. I then blurred the lines a little (R on the keyboard) to blend it in. Drool. Make a new layer ABOVE the mouth layer. Now take a small hard brush and paint a black line from the side of its mouth down:

step 22
A good way of getting straight lines is to drag a guide from the ruler on the left. Now with the brush click once where you want the drool to start, then Shift+click where you want it to end. Now you have a straight line. Give more 'drool' to the inside of the mouth. Now go Filter->Artistic->Plastic Wrap. This effect gives a nice wet shine:

step 23
Now the next part depends on what you preference is. Change the drool layer to 'Linear Light' for blood:

step 24
Or 'Linear Dodge' for plain old drool:

step 25
Right, when we're quite happy with the overall 'zombie' look, press SHIFT+CRTL+E. This merges all the layers into one. Now's the time to play with the background. Here are all the layers:

step 26
The cross and tree i found on Google images. Quite simple, just resize and position them. The grass is a brush that you can find under the brushes set. Make sure you change both foreground and background colors. The mist is a layer with Filter->Render->Clouds. Make sure you press 'D' and set the blend mode to Hue. I made a copy of our zombie, Crtl+clicked the layer to select it, and filled it with black. Then I ran a 'Guassian blur' on it to help blend it a little. The background was very simple. Fill the layer with black, select about half the layer with the Marquee tool (M), and change the foreground color to blue. I then ran another clouds filter, and 'Motion blur' on it. And that's about it. The most important aspect to remember is that these steps are not writen in stone; feel free to change anything, as by experimenting you learn lots more. Here's the finished image:
