In this tutorial I will show you how to transform a picture into a golden statue.

step 1

Remove the eyes, lighten the hair and mouth with a soft brush tool on low opacity.

step 2

Desaturate (shift+ctrl+u)
or image>adjustments>desaturate

step 3

Remove the dark lines (eyes and nose) with a soft brush tool on low opacity

step 4

Copy the background. Use layer>new adjustment layer>hue/saturation and change the lightness

step 5

Use blending mode hard light on opacity 60% on the new layer.
Change the levels till the layer is dark enough.
