Tutorial goal:

In my previous tutorial “Create your own feather” I showed you how to create a single feather. In this tutorial I will show you how to turn that single feather into a pair of wings.

Repeat steps 4 – 10 and create your second row of feathers. Once this layer has been completed you need to merge and save this layer. Now click on the eye to show the first row of feathers once more. Now you need to move the first row of feathers on top the second row. The simplest way to do this is to click on the layer and drag it above the new layer. Your image should now look like this.

Repeat steps 4 – 10 and create your third row of feathers. Once this layer has been completed you need to merge and save this layer. Now click on the eye to show the first two rows of feathers once more. Now you need to move the first two rows of feathers on top the third row. The simplest way to do this is to click on the layers and drag them above the new layer. Your image should now look like this.

Repeat steps 4 – 10 and create your fourth and final row of feathers. Once this layer has been completed you need to merge and save this layer. Now click on the eye to show the first three rows of feathers once more. Now you need to move the first three rows of feathers on top the fourth row. The simplest way to do this is to click on the layers and drag them above the new layer. Your image should now look like this.

Your wing is now complete. An example of use is as shown here. Remember the only limits to the use of these tutorials is your own imagination…. Have fun!
