step 6
Now using the warp tool you can bend and shape the feather to perfectly fit your design. To do this you right click on your mouse and a pop out screen will appear, select WARP and a grid will appear as shown here.

step 7
Here is where you will need to practice a bit by moving the different grid lines to get the shape and position you desire.

step 8
Now you need to duplicate the layer and there are two ways you can do this. You can either repeat step 4 or alternatively you can duplicate the layer by placing your cursor over the layer you wish to duplicate, right click and from the pop out menu select DUPLICATE LAYER another pop out box will appear. Click OK and your new layer will be sitting on top of the layer you have just duplicated as shown here.

step 9
Using the previous step, create the first row of feathers (I used the 150 x 150 pixel feather).

step 10
Now merge this layer – to do this select all layers EXCEPT THE BACKGROUND and press Ctrl E this will then merge all the feathers into a single layer. I recommend that you save each row of feathers individually in case you need to make any slight adjustments later. Now moving onto the second row of feathers for this I used the 250 x 250 pixel feather. First of all close the eye on your previous row of feathers. To do this simply click on the eye as shown here.
