Tutorial goal:
Here I'll show how to colorize an image using HUE/SATURATION.

End result:

Main source (a picture that I have taken and changed the background to black):
If do you have an image/source Black & White(grayscale), you need to change it to RGB image>mode>RGB:

At the bottom of the layer palette, click at the icon (a ball half white/black) and choose HUE/SATURATION;


step 4


Desaturate, moving the saturation slider to the left side


DO NOT CHECK THE COLORIZE now!!!!;


step 5


Start painting what do you want with the original color(source color), using a brush tool with set foreground BLACK, due the layer mask is WHITE;
