Here is the image we will add sun rays to.

step 2

First make a blue backround so you can see the white layers. then using the line tool found in your shapes feature, make a 1 pixel wide vertical line. Ctrl J that, free transform, while holding down shift, move the arrow to the right until it's horizontal.

step 3

Make another copy of the line layer and turn with free transform.

step 4

You can merge layers Ctrl E and then free transform them. that way you fill the lines "rays" in quicker.

step 5

To merge all lines, while holding down Ctrl, click on each layer one after the other (the layer box turns blue), then Ctrl E to merge all layers.
