Create a new document, 300 x 300 pixels with black background.
Select the "Horizontal Type Tool" or press "T".
Select Arial Bold font, white color, 200 pt., and type a "G"

Go to "Layer > Rasterize > Type". Now our "G" is no longer a text and we can work with it freely.
Next step, "Edit > Trasnform > Perspective". Hold "Shift" and move the left bottom control point to left as I did.
Press "Enter" to apply the changes.

Select the "Magic Wand Tool" and then press over the "G" to select it.
Next to do is to choose "Select > Feather" or press "Ctrl + Alt + D".
Set the Feather Radius to 5.
Delete the selection and you'll end up with this image.

Press "Ctrl + J" to duplicate current layer.
Press "V" to select the "Move Tool". Holding "Shift" press the down arrow keyboard once.

On the "Layers Palette" drag the "G copy" layer under the "G" layer.
Go to "G" layer, pick the "Magic Wand Tool" and select the "G" outer part.
Press "Shift + I" to invert selection. Go to "G copy" layer and press "delete" key
Press "Ctrl + D" to deselect.
