step 17

The bottem of the laptop needs to be darker too.

Duplicate layer “Edge”, Clair all Layer Styles, and drag it behind layer “Middle”.

Now start tapping the down arrow key until you see the layer appear (1px is enough). Call this layer “Bottem”.

Next we’ll give it a nice dark color in the Layer Styles menu.

Of course you don’t see any change yet, but when we’ll ad the spotlight it’ll make a big difference!

step 18

In this step well create the details.

Grab yourself the Apple Logo (or draw it) and transform until it fit. Be sure the logo is horizontal in the middle of the laptop.

As a final touch, we give it a little Bevel And Emboss & Satin (see the settings below).

Don’t forget to draw the light sensor in the right too.

step 20

Let’s make a new layer above our black rectangle in the back (we called this layer “Rectangle”) and call it “Spotlight“.

We’re going to make the light with a Radial Gradient. Select your Gradient Tool and click on the preview in the left corner to make a new Custom Gradient. Use the settings below or choose another color.

Drag a gradient across the image and transform it until you have a nice looking oval.

Because we don’t need the spotlight to be outside the black rectangle we are going to use a Clipping Mask.

With the “Spotlight“ Layer selected, go to Layer > Create Layer Mask. This will hide the part we don’t need.
