Tutorial goal:

This tutorial runs through one of my entries on PhotoshopTalent. And how I blended multiple sources and used adjustment layers, masks, levels, filters and transformations to make blended sources look more realistic.

I just make a duplicate source layer.

Next I want to create a levels adjustment layer. I'm doing this because I think the picture feels too green. To do this click the half circle and click the levels... in the pop up menu.

Firstly I adjusted the output to dull the brightest bits of the picture. Just a little.

I then reduced the green channel. You can see the colour of pebbles change to a more bluish red and the stone on the left side becomes a lot more blue.

This picture just demonstrates what the level adjustment layer did.

no avatarWhats the point of making the cave and the floor to the picture if they wont show in the final result.. I just dont get it.. But realy nice tutorial after all .. And no, there cant never be too many steps! I decided to join this website today and already have had this as my homepage for weeks.. Always getting "wow " effects while being looking things here..
