step 6

This is a little bit of topic. I was curious to how much information was held in the pixels in the tunnel. So I made a temporary adjustment layer and dragged the middle slider towards the left. You can now see the direction which the tracks turn.

step 7

In this one I put the opacity down and started to try position the train where I wanted the tracks to go. It is just a rough estimate at this stage. I'm mostly trying to highlight that by changing the opacity down I could position another layer easily.

step 8

This is just a quick intro to masking. For anyone out there who doesn't know how it works I would advise you go look up a tutorial. However, if you want to stick with this one. You first click the mask button. labeled 1 in the picture and secondly you can use the brush tool to paint the mask by clicking 2. You can use other tools in masking but I believe the brush to be the easiest.

step 9

With the brush tool selected by right clicking on the picture you can change the size and hardness of the brush. This enables you to mask with a feathery soft touch or with a hard touch. You'll see what I mean a bit further on.

step 10

This step just shows the start of the masking. All the information in the picture is just about how to go about masking.
