Tutorial goal:
This is my version of the old and burnt paper. Any version of PS with basic tools can do this. Used this technique for the champagne pamphlet you can see in my album.

step 1
Create a new document with a size a bit larger than the paper you are going to be making...

step 2
...choose the background color of your liking. I chose #fcfde6...

step 3
...with the marquee tool select the size of the paper we are making...

step 4
... on the layers palette, click on the "Create new fill or adjustment layer", and chose the color of the paper. I chose e6e0a1. Rasterize the layer...

step 5
.. from the tools palette choose the laso tool, which we will use for free hand cutting...

If you print a paper and then let the ink dry. Put it in Tea or Coffee for about 5 seconds. Then you
let it dry. Then you cut and burn eges. It looks great for school history projects. Try it
sometime!
