This is what we are aiming for. To create the style of a Da Vinci portrait in sepia colors.
Don't try to make a copy, just try to capture the mood.

First of all, we need an old background.
The background I found on www.sxc.hu needed a bit of changing.
I copied the background, selected two colors of the Da Vinci background, and then used the gradient tool with radial gradient.
Then set to blending mode "multiply" on 64%.
Make a new layer. Copy the background and change the saturation.
layer>new adjustment layer>saturation
Set to -25
Erase the edges so the center is light and the borders are dark.

The perfect background.

Remove the background from the portrait and paste it on the new background.

Copy the layer of the girl.
layer 2 copy
Select two colors from the Da Vinci portrait. Put the darkest color in the foreground box and the lightest color in the background box.
filter>sketch>graphic pen
In step 7 we will lower the opacity of this layer to 35%.
