Tutorial goal:

In this tutorial i will show you how to improve a face by removing the freckles. The radius and threshold values, at each of the filters filters, depends on the freckles quantities and color.

step 1

Original image

- Ctrl + J - name it: 1st fase

- Filter > Blur > surface blur
radius = 17 threshold = 25

- decrease the layer opacity to 60%

Take out the eye at the left side of the layer 1st fase;

- Ctrl + J at the background and name it: 2nd fase

- Filter > noise > dust & scratches
radius = 8 threshold = 2

- at the botton of layer palette, click at the icon - add layer mask(3rd from left to right) with ALT key. There will appear a black mask;

- paint with a soft brush(hardness 0 to 10% and opacity 75%) on the freckles(where appear more freckles paint more than one time);

- decrease the layer opacity to 75%.

Joining fase 1 with fase 2

Put the eye again at the layer named 1st fase and decrease the opacity to 30%.

Final Result

IMPORTANT: The radius and threshold values depend on the image.
