In this beginner tutorial we will learn to make our own brushes, in a few easy steps.

step 1

We will start with a new layer, with the given value in the image...

step 2

Select the image source of which you want to make brush, you can even draw it...i am using an image here....

step 3

Select the portion which we don't need, by "PEN TOOL" or "MAGIC WAND TOOL" or "POLYGON LASSO TOOL" as shown...

step 4

Press delete to remove the selected area....and you will now only left with image, which is going to be a brush soon....

step 5

Press Ctrl + D, and duplicate the layer to Untitled-1...as shown
