Wow, I'm SO new at this! I'm SO intimidated! Everyone here is SO talented! :D

Basically, I used one of my own photos of a mud-covered beach for the background -- I chromed it to the max & adjusted the color until it looked like a swimming pool. Then I magically-extracted the troll; auto-corrected the sharpness to make him look more like stone; made a copy of the troll, flipped it & placed it underneath the first copy to make him look like he has 2 ears; erased/healed some of the edges/flaws; magically-selected the new ear & adjusted the color so that it would look more moss-covered than it really is; &, finally, I copy & pasted the troll onto the swimming-pool background. I picked the center of the photo, because there just happened to be a formation there that looked like an object should be there.

I don't know how to make a shadow in the water to make it look like his body is partially under water -- I consider this a flaw in my work, as well as the fact that I don't know how to make the water swirl around his body.

And what I REALLY wanted to make was a picture of a troll emerging from a vat of molten metal, or chocolate, or honey, or some other dense liquid, but I have no idea how to make the background & the object the same texture & color (darn it). So much to learn!
