So there's this alien who took the effort to travel lightyears and lightyears through space to find planet Earth and bring them eternal peace. And yes, our brave hero did succeed, but what did the earth people do: they captured him in a glass tube for scientific experiments...

This entry contains NO other programs than Photoshop and NO external sources nor references, all just made from scratch.
Animation is 2 seconds, 12 fps (and almost 2 MB, sorry...).
To avoid too obvious looping, I tried to move the different animationparts in time, so it's not that you see the whole animation starting and ending (now is all mixed loopings).
SBS shows how and what, hopefully it's all clear this way.

I used only brushes, liquify, color, ink outlines to get this shape.

Used the pen tool, hue/saturatoin, opacity settings, brushes and erasers, and burn tool for a little.
