I made this through the use of the Pen tool, as well as a few filters (Cutout and Watercolour)

When someone says forest I automatically think snakes, bugs, & twigs. Just like some of the other entries the eyes are supposed 2 represent Mother Earth & her creations; harmless as a mouse-fierce as a snake.

There was already the snow on the ground in the source image. I've made the snow falling from the sky.

I had a great time creating this one. You should checkout the high res version for all the details. I used the bench, birdbath, birds, ferns and wildlife (see if you can find them amongst the painting) from my personal stock photos. Most of the effects were created working with alpha layers and various options within the adjustment layers and layering.
