I wanted something that looks like it came out of a storybook.

The mouse I created by drawing a picture. Then I took pieces from the elephant and manipulated the pieces to fit in the boarder line scetch. The elephant I just moved the pieces and blended.

I like the idea, but I think I would have kept it in color...the whole children's storybook idea ya know.

This was inspired by "the spider and the fly" by Tony Diterlizzi. It's black and white and got a caldecott award. Thanks for the replies.

Well, it doesn't look like it came from a storybook - it would have to be very colorful and saturated for that (and with no smoke/mist) - but it's wonderful nonetheless.
