Looks good! You might want to try feathering the edges just a bit more to make the blend a smoother and I would fade their shadows some... the goal post and soccer ball don't have shadows at all so you may want to add shadows to those also. Those are just my suggestions but you're off to a great start!

Danocamera gives some good suggestions. Maybe another thing is that you could play a bit further with the levels and/or maybe an extra photo filter. In the SBS you already did some improvements, but maybe the player has to get rid of some blue and as a whole some more sunlight color. Maybe you can try a bit, perhaps what you have here is already the best. Nice entry and funny you flipped the number

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried to incorporate them. I did not put a shadow for the ball because the ball is above their waists, but the cropping (of the shadows) is waist high. So the shadow would be out of the picture.
