when you are cutting out an image make sure you zoom right up. I use the magic wand tools then i go around my image with the eraser (in softness to hardness i go to the very end of soft) then i would take the ring images off the actuall couple so they give a focal point to the image. judging by the original photo of the couple, i would have left it in colour, it was a nice photo

Another option is using the pen tool to extract which gives a far greater amount of accuracy. Just a bit of blending around the edges say using a 2 pixel size brush on blur with a radius of around 35-40% should do the trick.

lol pen tool was in my head, but ive only had photoshop for 2 months... never remember what anything is lol... i just remember the magic tools
