The wood effect is working, but one major issue is the overlaid line patterns on the round surface of the lens for example. The line is actually flattening out the plane, that grain needs to follow the shape of the surface. Also the shadow is very harsh and is also working to flatten out of the image because it doesn't fall down to the ground plane in the direction of a light source.
