Great job, absolutely believe this ! Good work with the horse masking. Really minor detail that could do with some improvement is the shadow from the white horse in the grass (between the legs), looks a bit blurry. In the used source it's sharper, not better to use that? For the rest !

I'm confused about the light source. The light source seems that is comming from the top a bit from the right, but the ladies in the back have shadows in the right side.. and the light source seems that it's comming from the top left side...

lordymail, I think your confusion may be caused by the shadow under the roof. Notice how wide the eaves of the house are, therefore causing the shadow. Notice how bright the side of the house and chimney are, also notice the cannon shadow. I thought the sun was about 11:00 o'clock high (usa central time). Everyone take a look and give me your thoughts, if I am wrong it would be a great learning curve.

If I can be so free to enter this conversation . Imo the light comes from top front middle-bit to left (position your hand in front of the screen to visualize it). The possible problem with the light is that the cannon (and horse) catches way more light than the house. That's all very well possible, because the cannon isnt parallel pointed to the house direction. I think that the chimney-side of the house is facing the sun almost completely, the front of the cannon is rotated a bit more clockwise. The women there àre parallel to the house and therefore create another light/shadow. Just my opinion.
