Ontopic: I dont know what the exact goal was, but in case you would like to have the face less flat, you could use Free Transform -> Wrap to give the bricks some more volume (dont forget to think where it shold need more volume, shadow, etc). im not saying i like her im saying she has a cute face duh + and masking is hard i tried to give a friend of mine yoda skin once and its Hard to do but yeah the free transform tool is a good tip

Just kidding, sinbadkid1 . And no, masking isnt that easy, although what I sometimes do is use magnetic lasso-tool, then make that a mask and then or make selection from mask ->soften edges -> fill mask with black or white (depends what needs to be filled) or I just use a soft brush to edit the mask.
