I wanted the hand and the box to stick out more. I was also thinking that if you were to look at a box up close it would be very sharp lines to the grass. Thanks for the comments though.

to achieve the focus you were looking for the hand should have been feathered as suggested and the grass blurred. eyes, and cameras cannot focus on two things at the same time...
