He is cirrus, a flying centaur...I know the compettititon brief said "people" but they didn't specify human people, so hope this is alright. If not, mods, please let me know and I shall see about re-editing this.

I was halfway through creating a winged horse with a rider but someone else had already done it and I wanted to do something a little different.

Look at the hi-res and you'll see the blur of motion...though I agree he does still look too static; his feet hold all the motion but they were so blurry and distorted I hid them. The stock model had no motion whatsoever so he's probably not helping...hence making the rear arm and his body motion blurred. Any suggestions?

Really nice image, not much you could have done to give a sense of motion, you would need a stock image of jumping horse to do that...I really like this image its beautiful.
