Pretty simple, drew a circle and filled it with b lue, then added highlights and shadows with the paintbrush and alternate shades of the base color.

Added a reflection on the top.

Eyebrow was made by drawing a shallow rectangle and filling with black, then skewing it and using the shear distortion filter. After I placed where I wanted it I duplicated it and flopped it horizontally to make the second one and positioned it correctly.

For the tear I used the teardrop shape and just lightly dusted the shine and shadow onto its own layer. Then sized, rotated and positioned it.

The mouth was added next. Drew and filled the oval, the expanded the selection and inverted it so that everything except the inside of the selection was active and delicately painted in the shadow.

Used shapes to create the heart, then selected and filled it with red. Drew the crack with the pen tool and erased the red from the selected area.

Then I lightly erased the outer parts of the heart and I was done.
