Added the ropes

Created the shadows with the pen tool

Blending mode multiply, then added a layer mask

Created the wood stick with the pen tool then burn and dodge

Blending the ropes in the grass

used a tree trunk texture from cgtextures, to create the roots.

Used the clone stamp to design them.
