For this entry, I took a photo of a tulip I took, and the first thing I did was extracted the main tulip from the background. To do this I used the magnetic lasso tool and the eraser tool for small detail. I changed the background color to one that is on the tulip and added a burlap texture to the background. Then I changed the photo to black and white. After that, I changed it to duotone and chose a gray-ish purple color and a bright purple color in the same family. I then changed the curves until I achieved the look I wanted. After that, I used the marquee tool to create cube shapes and used the "copy into new layer command". Then on each new layer, I applied a inner glow layer style. I then used the free transform and skew tools tools to distort and change a few shapes. Then to other selected shapes, I added a color overlay in layer style to change the shade of the cube.
