Floating Islands v2

first of all, apologies for huge leaps, the way i do pictures its hard to make SBS and this one i didn't do an SBS as i was going..

first step.. cut out this part of the path (the filters, overlays and hue's were added later)

reflected by duplicating and flipping horizontally..

the background was made from taking a picture of the sky making it negative and adding several different layer effects like overlay.

duplicated more islands into the picture.. blurred the lower one.. added the shadows (which were visible a few steps back)

added roots and reshaped and shadowed

added the roots to the other islands, flipping and deleting parts to make them look different

added soil from the tree source, duplicated it several times resizing it and rotating it
