Great weork author, but there is alot and i mean alot of light comparing it to the clouds/weather. Could have some light but maybe make it a litte darker as going to the castle. (also you could then add some lights inside the castle)

Ronald may have a point about the light, but darkening it may lose some of the detail I think t should stay as is. Excellent blend, very nice image. Top Marks!!

Thanks for th comments and suggestions. I tried to make the brightest spots a little darker without losing too much contrast. Think of it as a day with sudden burst of lights breaking through the snowshowers.

I'd make the second part of the path smaller, and towards the last curve, it should be very small... But it's a beautiful image, well done !

Used the path itself to extend the path a little.

Entry guide: step 3 of 7

Used parts of the two mountain sources to contstruct the scene.

Entry guide: step 4 of 7

Decided to lift the Venice palace out of the water and put it on the top.

Entry guide: step 5 of 7

Did some work on the blending: cloning, hue/saturation adjustment layers. Changed the scattering and opacity-jitter and spacing of one of the standard brushed to create snow. Also some motion blur on the snow.

Added more snow and darkened parts of the mountaints.

Entry guide: step 7 of 7

To enhance the atmosphere, desaturated and darkened the sky. Also enhanced the highlights of the palace.

Only thing left is to crop the image.
