Nice entry, however I have noticed some things that could use your attention. First off the shadow is in the wrong perspective. It looks like the persons shadow is laying down and the person looks to be in more of the sitting position. And you wouldn't see the head and shoulders of the shadow on the water from this vantage point. Just some things to think about. Great idea and good entry.

I always like a sci-fi piece. The light beam and shadow could use a little work. Try different layer types to brighten light and put shadow on a multiply layer but shadow shouldn't continue past edge of platform. Should be darker also.
