Fire In The "Patch"

First step, cut out the main subject amd rotate for a different point of view.

Next I imported the floor, duplicated it so it would fill the frame and butted it together.

Next I duplicated the pipe work and colored one of the layers to emulate the fire glare. By an amazing coincidence the joint between the two sections of flooring was hidden by the source image. Ok, you can believe I planned it that way if you really want to.

I overlaid the fire lit copy with a copy I had darkened for a shadow effect. Then careful erasing of the shadow layer resulted in this.

Five layers of painted smoke gave me this.

And finally, a whisp of fire I shot in a small brazier on my deck. Can somebody call 911?
