this was interesting and been quite challenging, there are so many possibilities, but i wanted to stay as close to the source image as possible. i made three versions, the black and white, the golden yellow and the third is the combination of both.

i used the pen tool, warp tool and distort tools primarily to achieve the shape of the face, the eyes, the hair strand and nose and lips. i used the brush tool and the eraser tool for the highlights.

i selected white portions from the source image for my highlights and erased them away.

it was fun
