I suggest you to change the color of the spaceship...with that color looks, wood...

I suggest you the following:

Click at the icon (a ball half white/half black) at the botton of the layer palette ---> choose Hue/Saturation ---> check colorize ---> hue196 / saturation 23 / lightness 0 ---> OK ---> Ctrl + I ---> paint with the brush tool (the set foreground color must be white) only the place where is brown...
