Only little suggestions: give a round shape at the end of the octopus legs... now looks flat...and some mask improvements at the second leg(from left to right) - at the step 7 is OK!!!

avatar thoughtstorms hypes. my old friend. Could you back off the brilliance AT ALL? I missed this in the voting. GREATness. I do have one way-too-late to save your rating in the contest (better luck next time) - but gazing fascinated at the high-res - i noticed that the suction cups - brilliant and perfect though they certainly are - are never occluded by water drops. I say this 2nd critiacal comment - because i think this entry belongs in the Louvre. Once you de-convenience the water in front of the cups. sigh. I'm going to go sob for a while. Uh, great chop - congrats!
