avatar thoughtstorms i very much like this! Love the greyscale... i think the rich blue cape is fine, but it is so dark it could be just about anything. Maybe lighten the cape layer a tad, and/or a FAINT inner glow?

Creation of Warrior: Step 1

I don't have time to make a full step by step. And since I noticed some great guides don't make it to the guides-list, i won't bother to put lot of work in making a step by step. This is my halfway finished image, where the source is used to build up part of the armor.


Entry guide: step 2 of 2

Creation of Warrior: Step 2

This is the step just before the finished image. With the dodge and burn tool i made the shadows and highlights. And i used some filters, blending modes, gradient tools and colours to finish it all up!
