The making of It Ain't A Plague . . ., step by step...

First I took a photograph of a friend of mine sitting in a throne and holding a sword. This was done for a personal project.

I had previously photographed a garden wall for various backgrounds.

I imported the wall and adjusted lighting.

Cut out the king and overlaid his image.

Duplicated the armor down his legs for a more war like look.

Added some heavy shadow.

Then added the king's shadow

Added the rear of his safety helmet.

Added the separate crown and speaker plate, their was some finessing to get the right degree of transparency/translucency on this helmet business.

Added the third layer of the helmet, the front.

step 11 of 11

And finally, some shadow under the helm.
