i think its way overdone and needs alot of work... but this being your first, id say you did a pretty good job.... as you do this more you will find it to be easier and easier to work with. im always finding better ways to do things, and although im pretty amateur at this myself, i have learned alot.

Your finished work has a ghostly and cold feel to it because of the blueish tint that I don't think matches the subject. The halfway done picture is the best in my opinion. It has a very nice classic feel to it because of the soft focus. Very good work though, keep it up!
