Photoshop contest - woodsmiths

I have an old Nikon that I love, but when I see my kids looking at it, I guess that's what they see ;-)
I used exactly 129 layers to achieve this.
Alot of burn and dodge, some bevel and emboss and a mask at almost all the layers.
YOU HAVE TO VIEW IN HIGH RES BEFORE VOTING...please!

Very good job on this one. Too many just put some wood grain on everything. I like the different woods and grains to differentiate the pieces. One minor suggestion - the very top (flat part) of the flash seems to be a tiny bit off angle. Or, maybe it's the side of the flash... but there's SOMETHING about the top of the flash that doesn't look exactly right. But, this is being super picky...overall... excellent!

Is this the Nikon "F Wood" ? Great camera ! I wood like to buy one, it's just the the delivery time which is a bit of a problem, is takes about 4 month because they are entirely handcrafted (in Indonesia I was told). Great you have one ! It looks very good, that camera made of wood !

Fabulous, painstaking work. Look at the frontmost "striped" wood piece: the stripes on the strip that connects the two levels do not line up, and I think they would. Or wood... Breathtaking detail!

Whew! How to keep an O/C busy...I changed the handle a bit at the end. Is there a better way to do that (make the texture fit the object) than dinking around with liquify? CMYK, thanks for the comment on the SBS. That's mostly how I've been learning here, by studying the SBS. I just want to pass along the favor.

Pretty kewl! The shadows don't match the lightsource, the highlight on the lamp base is on the same side of the shadow. Compare that to the original stock source. Need to do some reversing there.

Also it's clear that the fan blades were pasted over and over. They look good but they are repetitive, and the shadow/highlight situation should be different on each blade.

What is that thing on the table in front of the lighter? Nice application of charred accents, although I wonder why on the lid - at least why on that particular area of the lid. And the challenge of the shadows... need 'em, but if not the right color or density, they make the objects float.
