Created using source image, photoshop tutorial for creating a moon, and one of my own photos.

You did it ! I still stick to my former comment (Maaaybe I would lower the point that your images merges with the source, but cool effect), because right now it looks a bit like the hills and all are a bit floating instead of being behind, but for the rest !

in the title.. the stars i have from an image package i downloaded from resurgere-stock on www.deviantart.com... free for personal use, and not to be used for commercial use.. since im not selling, or advertising, etc i dont believe that this is considered comercial. as for the castle, thats in the source area... i made my own planets, etc..

NOTE THAT THIS IS CALLED LIFE AFTER MARS... this is supposed to take place milions of years from now, if not hundreds of years from now. i mean, mars did once have life on it, im sure, but is it possible to spark life again? so with that in mind our solar system might collide with another, blah blah blah, and so thats where the other planet with its moon comes from. the glow around it is the atmosphere, and i added shadows to make it more sphere like. (same with the moon.. just copied and pasted the smart filters and applied them)

Bang! I wasn't sure wether to make the "rock" glowing white hot or just like it is now. Making it white might add to realism but I found it prettier like this.

Image is entirely made with the source.
(The meteor itself is just some cut-out piece from the rock formation in the middle)

True, It's not my original idea to make smoke with render clouds and layerstyles. (I believe the tut you referenced to can be found on digitalarts.co.uk if you search for explosions). But from there I just went on my own with my wacom sitting in my lap. It really isn't copied straight from a/that tutorial as you implied.

Ningun problema, pero...sure it's updated? Cause the reflection in the water is still not like how the air in the sky looks like (behind the church tower)

I'm not really sure what they should be reflected.
In the source I used th reflection is a cloud behind the Church, but now I can not see what is behind the church because it is blocked by clouds that are in the foreground
