Contest Goal:
The PST blog needs a new header! Fellow readers will agree that at this moment, the header is too basic and needs more life! The header should be exactly 960px in width. The height can be anything between 100px and 200px.

Key factors to take into consideration are: striking, reflections, fresh colors, uniqueness, ... The header should make clear that the blog is part of PST... so it can contain either the PST logo or just 'photoshoptalent.com blog' as text. More text or descriptions are not necessary, you do not need to come up with your own taglines. So, the PST logo can be used, but it is not mandatory.

It is also not necessary to fill up the whole header with content... a simple striking logo with a gradient background for example is one approach. Another approach: use the best contest entries on PST and integrate them into the header somehow...

i used the pen tool to create the graphics and some masks for the pictures, i played with shadows and opacity...in a lot of layers. This is the power of the photoshop feather, there's no limits to creation.
