Istantly this image reminds me of sea...

I used only the source given: chord used for the body and background of the knot used for legs and beak;
eye is made by me with a simple brush and som blending options.

This took awhile..

Mostly cut/paste, clone, pull hair out and start over..At least the hubby knew what it is..:D
