I distorted it very much since I just like to experiment with different effects in photoshop. When you suddenly think to see huge differences while looking at the steps that's probably because I duplicated the image and flipped it, then set it to darken/lighten. When you take a good look at it, you'll see that that's what happened...

it's hard to choose which steps to include. step 3 is under step 4 is under step 2. to be fair, step 3 and step 4 could be considered the same step. I thought more in lines of a timeline than just steps to an outcome. Sometimes my steps only occur because 4 or 5 previous steps failed.
