Ye vaugoro, it was intended. In this way you can flip the picture upside down and still have the same effect. Also I think it gives a sort of 'Escher' effect to the path because its not logical.

this is SO CL! i might even go more toward turquoise blue & coral red with the colors since this kind of reminds me of Southwestern American Indian art

Good idea, only think you should look at the shadow of the boy. It will look more realistic when its either on the left or right.

Nice work author, i would suggest removing the left or right palm tree it's shadow as this will remove the symistycal feeling, wich is distrubing. I like the the sphere.
