Nice Concept.

Only the shadow from the yellow strip (on the right side) looks a bit weird. I prefer to remove that shadow completely, for a realisticer look.

great blending. use the vanishing point filter for the words on the spine to bend then correctly...and if you added some highlights to them in the lighted area it would blend even better

"he is not what you may think of..", this one took from me very very very long hours, it was designed completely without ANY SOURCES except the required one, I only used the source for: the blurred background, the ground it self and the textures, the rest was designed by me, you can see the step-by-step guide if you want, so please vote carefuly and tell me your valuable opinions, you can see also the high res. version..thank you!!

i can't say i don't like it, cause it's ..at least funny. however, u can't recognise the source image in the artwork, even some of the steps look like exagerating. for eg. step one: taking a black line from the picture and distorting it- that's not creativity, that's just a line and a wasting time procedure. I don't intend to be rude, but is anyone gonna be fooled? except that your toy is funny, there are some problems with the right hand, and the reflexion of his right foot. I like the design of the boots

the contest guide lines say: "In a source contest it's mandatory to use the source image in your entry. Not only use it, but also manipulate it in some way." all what i wanted to show is that i tried harder not to break any of these lines, i tried as much as i can to use the source image and manipulate it in some way even if it is simple as creating the arm, of course it is not creativity but it is just the respect of rules, without them i could easly make a line by my self and warping it...

Although the image looks good, you could have used any of the given sources from any of the contests to create this. All you have used from the source is a small colored part and manipulated it to what you wanted. There is no recognizable part of the source at all. As I said, it's a nice image but I don't think it fits the contest.
