Photoshop contest - frozen stairway

I have added simple step by step even though this is a pretty straight forward project. Color adjustments, warping and layer types were used as a matter of course.

Wonderful idea and very well done. The blending is super and the backgound looks like what I would expect to see. Top of the work so far. The only small thing (Very small) to my eye is the fins on the rear seem at a bit of an odd angle.
