Sunset Approaches, created by roz
To tell you the truth, it was meant to be a plain ballerina. That is, as soon as
I took a look at the source image I really saw a ballerina's dress :) Anyway, as
it often happens with me, I got another idea and another one and another one
while I was working on this entry.
It's mostly experimental stuff, but nothing really special and new. I just
played around with the standard modes and brushes a bit.
For the pose of the girl and mostly for her arms/hands I used two reference
pictures, which I've provided in the SBS along with the links to them. I don't
own them, so it really had to be reference ONLY.
Anyway, please view the full res and the SBS!
:)
PS: thanks to benedeki @ sxc.hu for the forest image (source 1)!
fireball, created by roz
i did this image using only filters and masks, dodge and burn and smudge tool.
i'm sorry that i can't provide a step-by-step guide, but all the work on the
image was mostly experimental stuff. i can tell you that i did the fire by
coloring the globe orange, then motion blurring it a lot, then shaping the
flames with the smudge tool. i did the nails with the liquify filter. i hope my
explanation works as good as a step-by-step guide ;)
oh, and please view the full resolution image, for the nails look better on
it.
spellcaster, created by roz
Nothing special to say about it. Viewing full res is mandatory.

EDIT: for those of you who suggested turning the lamp on, here it is.

"A" for fAiry, created by roz
This ornate letter took more time than I expected, less layers than I expected,
and the result is more stylish than I expected. ;) I've seen similar ornate
letters in my story books when I was a child. And it's meant to be as dreamy as
a fairy tale.
Please see the step by step guide, as well as the full resolution image
(that's even mandatory) in order to see all the details.
Orlanda Blooms, created by roz
I used only one image. Everything else is filters, brushes (all default ones,
nothing external), masking and layer modes.

Samodiva, created by roz
This entry is a result of multiple change of ideas... it was originally meant to
be a night fantasy shot, with absolutely no fairies involved, but.. some random
playing with settings led to this one.
I would like to thank to Iardacil-stock at DeviantART for granting me
permission to use the photo of the girl.
I would also like to thank to: Karolienn @ sxc.hu for the grass stock, Bella @
sxc.hu for the vines stock; herrberg @ sxc.hu for the sky stock; Stephanie for
the wings brushes and to whoever created the hair brushes I used (see the source
link below).
About the title:
Samodiva is a forest female spirit in Bulgarian (probably in Slavic in
general, I'm not really sure) mythology. It's not originally winged, but I just
thought wings would suit this particular one.
Expectation, created by roz
Just an idea that came on my mind. :)
Please view the SBS and the full resolution image. Thanks :)
As promised, here's how I got the idea for the bench:

----------------
Okay, so, as asked again, to clarify something:
I haven't used any references such as stock (or copyrighted) material. I've
used my own reflection in the mirror for the girl's body, especially for the
feet which I found rather hard to draw. So I can't post a reference photo,
obviously.
As for the bench, you can see the resemblance and respectively the difference
between my creation and the reference photo.
If anything else is unclear, please write a comment about it, I would
appreciate it.
